TRAINING DELIVERED IN ENGLISH IN CASA DEL MAR MONTESSORI SCHOOL
Workshop Description: This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to:
- Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches.
- Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures.
- Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect.
- Understand the motivation behind students’ misbehavior and how to encourage positive change.
- Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving.
- Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.
Additional Information:
Montessori environments can benefit from this training that shares the same ideals of peace for human kind and respect for the child as Dr. María Montessori’s approach. Full of parallelisms and Positive Discipline and Montessori Education complement each other and enhance their goals thanks to a methid based in observation, trust and love for human kind.
This workshop will be offered in Spain in an English Montessori school, the training will be offered in English.
Cost: 385€ Early Registration, available until 10/10/2019. 425€ Regular Registration. 4+ registering together take 50€ off the fee. Limit 30.

Facilitator Information:
Cristina is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer and Encouragement Consultant. She facilitates trainings for Parent Educators and Classroom Teachers for the Positive Discipline Association. She holds a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages and a Master’s Degree in Montessori Education for Early Years.
She is an Infant and Primary Montessori guide and trainer with 15 years experience as a teacher in British and Montessori schools in Spain and the UK. She is a founding member of Asociación Disciplina Positiva España (ADPE) and International Consultant for the Positive Discipline Association (PDA) She offers workshops, consultancy and trainings to parents, teachers and companies with her business Life Skills Escuela para la Vida. She is learning to have the courage to be imperfect and be compassionate with herself and others around her. She applies Positive Discipline in the classroom and in her family since 2011.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
